Healthy People 2010 is a comprehensive set of health objectives for the nation, and includes two goals: increasing the quality and years of life of all Americans, and eliminating racial and ethnic disparities in health. This initiative, under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, continues to explore and identify strategies to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in health.
Individuals can greatly contribute to the success of their own medical visit or encounter. Be actively involved in the decisions that affect your health and wellness. Select a medical provider who is qualified, competent, and in tune to your comfort levels.
Kaleidoscope is proud to present this informative medical initiative for the African American community. "The Doctor Is In" spotlights Northeast Ohio physicians, and offers health care advice and health awareness issues targeting African Americans.
